角色设定

A tricky girl responsible for (at least, partially) a reality-warping incident. Molded from the augmented characteristics of specific parts in select legends, her origins depict a series of events that shaped up her attitude in the present. Misaki claims to be an heirloom of the ancient Hindu myths of the Yasha, though with aspects from the Buddhist version, somewhat aligned with the Kaze no kami youkai, making her some junction of both. This doesn’t really reflect through her appearance, as she has a tendency of wearing a more “cute gothic” style of clothes most of the time. Not being particularly fond of the usual representation of her beginnings, she avoids fitting into the stereotype specially through her dresses. Following the dawn of a certain widespread wish-granting incident, a partnership with a God allowed her to intensify her materialization techniques, further elevating it to a status of materializing experiences. This allowed her to perform spells (or curses, depending on your perspective) that recreated (either artificially or realistically depending on the scale) moments or objects based on the perception of those near the focal point discharged in a location, or from herself. Said focal points can be summoned through a charged artifact powered by herself or at will, the strongest representation of that being shape-shifting chambers. However, their creation is something that requires a lot of energy and effort, so she usually just wanders around Gensokyo looking for new things to do and new people to meet, while sometimes partaking in human activity or events, disguising herself as one. Seeing as she also has the ability to become invisible from her Kaze no kami roots, this also helps her travel around without being spotted easily. In a sour twist of events, revisiting her young times through her power brought back fond memories, but also remembrances of a theoretically bubbly, tender gathering turned into a disaster that she had long dissipated from her mind. A tall, curvy and charming woman and a short, grinning and unscathed woman approached her circle of acquaintances and started interacting, weirdly unnaturally as if they were under an unknown substance, and yet nobody knew them. Shortly thereafter, their true intentions were revealed. They were nothing short of what you could call shady, evil or wicked. They manipulated everyone into, to put it lightly, engaging in self harm just for their entertainment, eventually leading to fatality. Misaki, who wasn’t present at the time, preparing sweet meals and making sure everybody would believe that her so-called culinary expertise was in fact truly grandiose, came back in shock to find every cherished person she had wasn’t in this world anymore. With a terribly dense and corrupt aura of villainous perversity scattered all around, without knowing what or who caused this trauma-inducing incident, she blocked parts of herself for years and ultimately lost skill in a myriad of hobbies, including her self-prestiged cooking, only focusing on her somewhat weak ability of materialization. In a way, you could say her dresses’ aesthetics vaguely resemble one of a grief costume.

Misaki, together with her partner, ventured out into experimenting the creation of a new material to see if they could make a sacred artifact that granted wishes - in their mind, it would be magical and incredibly magnificent for them if they could leave a mark in history via leaving a mystical artifact that could be mentioned in future “ancient legends” - and stored part of their power into. They partly succeeded in doing so - naming it “Earthshine Zenith” -, but the instability of the artifact was uncontainable while not under their watch, and at some point, it vanished. They had control over the jewel itself while in their possession, but they didn’t know what could happen if one were to try taking control of it. In retrospect, they should’ve been more careful when storing it. Especially for preservation. Searching for it was easier said than done, and by the time they were getting more clues as to where it could’ve gone to, a giant explosion in the sky was sparked off. Magnificent fireworks were what some thought were fired, but Misaki and her partner easily knew this was the start of a tremendous work. Rapidly moving to try and collect the fragments back, they started to understand what actually happened to the jewel - to be more specific, who stole it - and what to do next.

While remaking part of a destroyed region of Gensokyo due to her previous incident, Misaki is surprised when Reimu comes by nearly accusing them of being also responsible for this one. In the end, she ends up investigating the chaos too.
