故事背景

It started simply enough -- as many incidents do,it started when the fairies began going berserk.Youkai became more aggressive,mild unrest spread throughout Gensokyo -- the works. Then things started escalating.Nightmares started spreading throughout the populace,with the Dream World's ruler being， unable to keep them under control.Normally healthy humans having mental breakdowns in the streets, plants growing into twisted, impossible shapes,areas being drained of all color and life. And the worst was yet to come. Momoyo Himemushi, one of the strongest youkai in Gensokyo, showed up at the Hakurei Shrine, bruised and battered. She claimed of a strange hole in the world opening up in the Rainbow Dragon Cave, and an army of monsters So large even she couldn't fight them all off appearing from it. lt was clear at this point that Gensokyo S strongest incident solvers and youkai were sorely needed if this was to be resolved.

Reimu Hakurei - The hopefully-familiar-by-now shrine maiden of the Hakurei Shrine.
Reimu would be lying if she said she d been keeping close tabs on the escalation of the incident,but she'd also be lying if she said she hadn't noticedit -- it's not hard to notice someone suddenly break down screaming in the road. But it wasn't until she saw an area around Youkai Mountain drained of all color that she decided to investigate.
But before she could even pack,the oomukade showed up,having been fended off by an invading army of youkai.So she turned to Yukari,who was suddenly very invested in this,and they made haste.

Yukari Yakumo一The Boundary of Phantasm,and one of the sages who created Gensokyo.
Yukari was originally going to sleep this incident off,but once she heard that something like her gaps had been found in a place she never put one, she grew concerned. Was somebody breaching a boundary she couldn't even sense?
As such,Yukari requested to come along with the group,under the pretense of “bringing air into the Rainbow Dragon Cave” as if Misumaru wouldn't be willing to create more magatama.

Marisa Kirisame - An Ordinary Magician™ living in Gensokyo.
On hearing Momoyo's tale of a portal to another realm,dollar signs showed up in Marisa's eyes. Sure,it's full of dangerous youkai,but who knows what else is in there? Gold? Jewels? Golden jewels? At worst,she could probably convince the oomukade to reward her with more gems once the problem is cleared.
(She wouldn't mention that she s concerned about Gensokyo being invaded,aside from maybe an “I keep all my stuff there!” She especially wouldn't mention that she respects Momoyo and legitimately wants to help her.)

Momoyo Himemushi - An oomukade living in the Rainbow Dragon Cave.
After being chased out of her home by a horde ofinvaders,you'd think she would turn to her good friend,the Great Tengu. And she did -- Megumu's advice was simply to tell her to turn to some of the only people who could beat the centipede in a 1-on-1 fight. As such,Momoyo set her sights towards the Hakurei Shrine,ready to warn the shrine maiden.
To her mild surprise,one of her favorite worthy opponents,Marisa, was also there. Perhaps after all this was settled, they could have their fated rematch...

Sumireko Usami - A human from the Outside Worldwho visits Gensokyo in her dreams.
Sumireko just so happened to be at the Shrine when the centipede appeared and started rambling about an alien invasion or something. Sumireko,being the skeptic she is,thought it was a bunch of malarkey...but a bunch of malarkey worth investigating! After all,the last“alien”to show up in Gensokyo was a youkai none had seen in hundreds of years -- who knows what these invaders could be!
And,as luck would have it,she was approached by the ruler of the Dream World. She was investigating some odd goings-on in the Dream World herself,and as the two had worked well together in the past,they thought it serendipitous to team up.

Recently,many people have been reporting having horrible nightmares,and as the person responsible for eating bad dreams,the blame is laying on Doremy's shoulders. But..she hasn't had anything to do with it. She can't even find these nightmares. In fact... she can't actually find the Dream Selves who are claiming to have them at all. Have they been intercepted by some unknown force?
After searching the Dream World and coming up empty,Doremy s next stop was Gensokyo -- and,as luck would have it,she ran into Sumireko, who was investigating a reported...alien invasion? Well,one lead was as good as another,and she was ideally supposed to be keeping an eye on the girl anyway,so...
