A former tengu chief plotting her return to power through surveillance and manipulation. She was once the leader of the tengu on Youkai Mountain, but was demoted and expelled from her position due to her petty, lazy, and authoritarian personality. The exact reasons for her downfall remain mysterious, but her behavior had clearly alienated many of her former subjects over the years. Now she lives in exile in a remote part of Youkai Mountain, away from tengu supervision. Her days are spent looming over her lost status and dreaming of reclaiming her throne. Despite her fall from grace, some tengu who remember the old days still visit her secretly, drawn by nostalgia or admiration. Growing tired of Masachiyo's eternal boredom and complaints, her former kimono Erita suggested she could reclaim her position as chief. When Masachiyo dismissed this as impossible, Erita proposed organizing a festival in Gensokyo as cover for a grand scheme to gather intelligence across the realm. The plan was elegant in its deception: secretly gather intelligence from across Gensokyo using her network of crow spies, then demonstrate her usefulness to the tengu leadership through this surveillance operation. However, her temporarily opened lair was discovered by Aya and Megumu, who confronted her before she could complete her mechanisms. Cornered, she revealed she had been spying on Aya and other crow tengu for years, giving her the ability to predict their every move in battle. What began as a festival scheme became a desperate fight for dominance, though her ambitions would ultimately be thwarted once again. |
