It shouldn't be a surprise that チケ蔵, who writes music reviews for 东方我乐多丛志, found an artist that's not on the wiki. Though the credit also goes to BzB 002 for reuploading the track in the first place lol.
This EP feels like a Trekkie Trax release, and by that I mean this EDM is FIRE. Eclectic and maximalist bass music that's fun and dazzles you with ideas left and right. It's basically ear candy for people with extreme rhythm game brain. As usual with me and sampled vocals, the "vocal" tracks are hit or miss and ruins the fun a bit. Thankfully, the artist includes "instrumental" versions that cuts out the main vocal samples. The artist is from Russia? Amazing...
Man, can't believe how I took issues with the vocal sampling back in 2019. Listening to all those footwork in the last 3 years really did open my ears to choppy vocal sampling magic. (this EP isn't footwork though, it's Jersey club, another fantastic EDM genre that the Touhou fanmusic scene basically ignores, despite IOSYS of all circles having some of it on ＃TOHO_SEAWAVES)
Everything else I've said back then still rings true, however - this is full of maximalist, dazzling fun. And another thing that's true back then and now - I have no idea what's being arranged on the first two tracks.
